On Friday, David Linthicum invited me on his cloud computing podcast to chat about what we heard, and didn’t hear, at the Cloud Connect conference. Naturally, our discussion wound its way to the connections of cloud computing, enterprise architecture, service-oriented architecture and data architecture.
Our podcast is Picking Apart Cloud Connect. Check it out.

Good conversation, it summed up the event for me since I was not there. I agree that next year we will see more practitioner case studies at the enterprise level, but I don't think we will ever stop debating definitions of public, private, hybrid etc. I do not hold out much hope for the masses taking an EA approach to the cloud. IT has a bad track record for being disciplined and the cloud won't solve that, in fact, it will expose it even more.
